Dorce’ Family Haiti Update, December 2018

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

*Added prayer request to the attached letter: Monique’s mother (Marc’s mother-in-law, Alexandra’s grandma) passed away last week due to a stroke, we think. The funeral was yesterday. Haitian funerals are very emotional and exhausting. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Dorcé Family

Wilckly, Dee, Ashley, Kelsey, Josiah

Life here is not “as usual”, but it is going on. Demonstrations have lessened in frequency, but people are still fearful and uncertain. We have been able to get out some to pick up food and supplies, and we are still caring for quite a few “extras” that are staying with us! The holiday season always brings more people to our home, and this year that is intensified, with all the unrest. Thank you for your prayers. They have been felt!!

We praise the Lord that we can see Him working in the midst of such difficult times. Two young ladies who have grown up in our church and school in Carries, Olguine and Djeunika, made the decision to be baptized this past week! Olguine and Djeunika have also attended J.A.M. Club and Sunday School faithfully since they were tiny, usually bringing their younger siblings along as well. We are so excited they have made this decision and were bold enough as young people to step forward with this declaration of faith. Please pray for them as they strive to live out their lives in a way that glorifies God. Pray that they would not give in to the lies of the devil and that they would be protected from his schemes.

With Love,

The Dorcés
